Getting Started with Adacado

If you have a Shopify store and are new to Adacado, getting started is simple. Follow these steps to create Freemium Ads for your first advertiser using Adacado’s campaign solutions and connect your existing Shopify products with Dispatch, a powerful distributed commerce tool.

Step-by-Step

Step 1: Access the Platform:

1. Visit the Adacado Website

  • Go to the Adacado website.
  • Click the “Start Advertising” button in the upper right corner.

2. Start the Signup Process

  • On the welcome page of the platform, click the “Start Serving Ads for Free” button.

Step 2: Specify Your Advertising Needs

Select options that best describe you and what you want to advertise. Adacado will then provide tailored solutions to help you create Freemium Ads for your first advertiser. To create dynamic product ads with your Shopify product inventory, select the “Product Catalog” option.

Step 3: Select a Tailored Solution

You’ll see pre-built solutions from Adacado that match your business and use case. Select the one that suits you best. If you want more options, click “Browse Solutions” to explore other creative possibilities.

Step 4: Personalize Your Ads

Now that you’ve selected a tailored solution, it’s time to personalize your ads to align with your advertising goals. If you’re using Product Catalog solutions, you’ll initially see ad templates with a Freemium Ads watermark. After importing your products into Adacado, the template’s placeholder images and text will automatically update with your actual product information. Customize the design to suit your preferences.

Step 5: Import Your Shopify Product Inventory

If you’ve chosen Product Catalog as your advertising preference, you’ll need to import your Shopify product inventory to Adacado using one of the following options:

With Dispatch integration, there’s no need for a separate data feed. This saves you time and effort by automating the download of product data directly from your Shopify inventory into Adacado, ensuring your ads are always up to date.

Shoppable Ads with In-Ad Checkout
Adacado’s Shopify campaign solutions feature an exclusive “In-Ad Checkout” powered by Dispatch. This seamless functionality allows users to make purchases directly within the ad. With just a click on the “Buy Now” button, viewers can seamlessly transition from interest to purchase without leaving the current page.

  • Business Type: Exclusively designed for retail businesses.
  • Campaign Types: Retargeting and Prospecting.
  • Ad Types: Dynamic shoppable ads featuring in-ad checkout via a CTA button.
  • Product Targeting
  • Adacado Pixel: Required for retargeting campaigns.
  • Media Channel: “Run Display Ads” (media buying through Adacado using our DSP partner Basis)
  • Ad Formats: 300×250 and 300×600
  • Number of Ad Fames in Each Ad Format: 5

Note: These solutions are available in the Campaign Solution library when you select “Standard Setup” to add a new advertiser and use the Dispatch connection to import your Shopify inventory to Adacado.

Automated Pixel Implementation

For retargeting (audience or product) campaigns, avoid the manual pixel implementation process by using the Dispatch connection. This automatically installs the Adacado pixel in your Shopify store, saving you time and effort.

Guide for Dispatch Connection Setup

1. Select Data Source:

  • Choose the “Shopify (via Dispatch)” option for your data source.
  • Enter your Shopify store URL.
  • Click “Connect to Dispatch” to proceed with the Dispatch installation on Shopify.

2. Install Dispatch:

  • Click the “Install” button to connect Dispatch to your store.
  • Complete the setup process in Shopify.

Note: If you’ve already installed the Dispatch app before signing up for Adacado, click the “Open app” button on this page and skip to Step 6 in this guide.

3. Approve Subscription:

  • On the “Approve subscription” page, select your card on file and approve.

Note: Using Dispatch to import your product data and keep it current in Adacado is free. However, Dispatch will charge a 5% commission fee for any sale generated through a Dispatch-powered checkout.

4. Allow Access:

  • Click the “Accept” button on the “Dispatch Channel Overview” page to allow Adacado to connect to your store and import your product data. This page shows how many products can be automatically uploaded to the Adacado system to generate your product data.

5. Configure Product Data:

  • After installing the Dispatch app, return to the “Configure Your Product Data” page on the Adacado platform.
  • Click “I have connected to Dispatch” to view your sample products, then click “Confirm” to finish the product data setup process.

Step 6: Plan Your Ad Campaign

After customizing your ads and importing your products to Adacado, provide advertiser information and specify ad serving details, including schedule and location preferences. If you want to use a third-party DSP for your media buying, disregard scheduling.

Step 7: Sign Up for an Account and Activate Freemium Ads

With your ads personalized, it’s time to create your Adacado account and activate your Freemium Ads to start serving them to your audience. For more information on creating an account and activating Freemium Ads for your first advertiser, visit here.

Note: When you sign up for the Adacado platform, your first advertiser is automatically enrolled in Freemium Ads. Later, you can create more advertisers and, if desired, select one of them as the new Freemium Ads advertiser.
