Templates

Templates define the appearance of your ads, specifying their size and content, including text and media (images, videos, GIFs). Adacado offers a range of pre-built templates tailored to various business types, ad formats, and campaign types.

Dynamic Templates

Dynamic templates are designed to work seamlessly with product data feeds. They enable you to dynamically pull values such as product images, titles, prices, and product URLs directly from your data feed. This flexibility empowers you to create countless ad variations effortlessly.

Static Templates

Static templates can be customized by uploading assets like your company logo, text messages, images, videos, GIFs, and CTA buttons. This enables you to tailor your ads to your specific requirements and branding. However, it’s important to note that static templates are not designed for creating dynamic ads using data feeds.

Ad Creative Elements – Widgets

Widgets serve as the building blocks of your ad content and are categorized into 5 types:

  • General Icons
  • Lines & Patterns
  • Social Media Logos

Widget Inspector

Adding widgets to your template is straightforward – simply drag and drop them onto your template. When it’s time to make tweaks, click on the media (image, videos, or GIFs) or text within the template, and you can easily adjust widget settings and styling using the user-friendly widget inspector on the right.

Configure Template Settings

Template Header

Customize essential aspects of your template to align it with your requirements.

  • Edit template name: Modify the name of your template as needed.
  • Cube Icon Indicator: Displays the number of products showcased in the template. Click the ‘Cube’ icon to highlight each product group.
  • Add Categories: Assign categories to your templates for easy organization. When filtering templates by a custom category, you’ll find the corresponding templates in the ‘Previously Used Templates.’ Custom categories can be found in the ‘Category Filters’ within the ‘Select a template to use’ panel.
  • Add Comments: Initiate a discussion thread specific to the selected templates, whether at the template or widget level. You can also choose to show or hide comments.
  • Edit the default destination URL: This option should be used when you prefer not to use the advertiser’s URL as the default URL for both static and dynamic ads. For dynamic ads, the default URL is used only when a product URL from the data feed is unavailable.
  • Template Border and Background: Adjust border thickness, color, and background color.

Template Transition

Create smooth transitions for your templates using the template transition settings. Configure these settings by:

  1. Click the transition icon in the template footer.
  2. Select a transition type (e.g., Fade In/Out, Slide in from Top, etc.), timing, and choose one of the 3 apply options.

Scheduling Ad Creatives (Themes)

Schedule different ad creatives (Themes) within a campaign to switch seamlessly and efficiently:

  • Add multiple ad creatives (Themes) to a campaign and schedule the start and end date of each creative.
  • Each creative will be active from the start of the scheduled start date and end at the end of the scheduled end date.
  • NOTE:
    • No blank ads are served, even if the creative end date has passed or if there is only one theme that hasn’t started yet. Ads will continue to run using the latest creative as long as the campaign is active.
    • In cases where multiple creatives share the same or overlapping schedules, each requested ad will randomly select one of the scheduled creatives for display.
