What is an Advertiser in Adacado?

An advertiser in Adacado represents a business you wish to promote through advertising campaigns. Creating an advertiser is essential for launching ad campaigns within the platform.

Advertiser Details Required

Advertiser Name

Enter the name of the merchant, seller, brand, or entity whose ad campaigns will be based on the same website and business type. For agencies, this is typically your client. Adacado usage fees are applied to the billing account level and calculated per the advertiser. Detailed information for each advertiser can be found under “Advertiser Details” on the invoices.

Advertiser DBA Name (optional)

If applicable, enter the “Doing Business As” (DBA) name used by the advertiser. Otherwise, this defaults to the advertiser name you entered.

Website URL

Provide the URL of the advertiser’s user-facing website. This URL will serve as the default/fallback click-through URL for your ads unless overwritten by product data or manually adjusted in the creative. You can edit this URL in the advertiser settings by selecting “Edit Advertiser” from the dropdown menu under the advertiser’s name in the header.

What Business Are You In?

Select the industry that best describes the advertiser. The chosen business type determines the available campaign solutions, creative templates, and targeting options within Adacado. Choose from Retail, Auto, Real Estate, Hotel (Travel), and Service. If none of these precisely fit, selecting Retail provides broad coverage across various business types.

Address

Enter the complete address, including city, state/province, country, and zip/postal code. By default, the country and state/province details will be used for audience targeting in your ad campaigns when selecting the “Run Display Ads” media channel, which purchases media through Adacado.

  2. Choose either “Quick Start” or “Standard Setup” based on your requirements

Let’s learn how each option works.

Quick Start and Standard Setup

Quick Start

Quick Start simplifies advertiser and campaign setup with preconfigured settings, saving time and effort. It provides intuitive tools for creating display ads tailored to different business categories. Explore detailed step-by-step instructions on using Quick Start to add a new advertiser.

Standard Setup

The standard setup offers more options for campaign solutions, creative templates, and control over setup. It is ideal when customization and specific campaign needs are essential. Here’s a step-by-step guide to creating an advertiser using the standard setup:

Step 1: Fill in the Advertiser Details

After selecting the “Standard Setup” option, fill out your advertiser details

Step 2: Select a Campaign Solution

Once the advertiser is created, select a campaign solution that best fits your needs. You can filter solutions by category such as ad type, campaign objective, template type, seasonal options, and more. All creative templates within these solutions are customizable.

If you can’t find a suitable solution, you can start with a blank campaign by clicking “No thanks, I want to create a new blank campaign” in the bottom right corner. Selecting this option will take you to the Creative Editor, where you can choose from ready-made templates or create your own template from scratch.

Step 3: Customize Creative and Complete Your Campaign Setup

After selecting a solution, customize creative templates, add a data feed (for dynamic ads), select your media channel, and finalize your campaign setup.

Edit Advertiser

To edit advertiser details and manage its status:

  1. Click the advertiser name in the header.
  2. Choose “Edit Advertiser” from the dropdown menu.

Settings

  • Update information such as the advertiser name, website URL, and more.

Standing

  • Enable or disable the advertiser. Disabling immediately stops all campaigns under this advertiser, halting charges, including product costs. Product costs are incurred regardless of campaign activity unless the advertiser is disabled.
  • Disabling an advertiser preserves campaign statuses but removes all product data from Adacado databases. If re-enabled later, the advertiser will resume operation, requiring new processing of product data
