How it started…

From a managed display advertising service to fully automated self serve DIY advertising. Adacado had to start somewhere.

The beginning of Adacado looked much different than it does today. Adacado started off as a managed display advertising service, mostly selling to large enterprise brands and businesses such as NBA. Adacado took care of these businesses’ advertising through custom solutions tailored to their advertising and business goals. Further, Adacado built custom creatives and campaigns for these clients.

Although this business model was successful for Adacado, it wasn’t sustainable as technology was changing as well as the way people used it. Adacado knew that it was time to take the business in a new direction. With that, the idea of a fully self-serve display advertising platform came to life.

This new concept came with challenges, as Adacado needed to figure out a way to build something accessible to all. A huge part of that came down to three principles – convenience, productivity, and cost savings. After much thought, Adacado decided to launch its very own self serve display advertising platform.

How it’s going…

Since launching the fully automated self serve display advertising platform in 2019, there have been many changes made to the platform, with tons of new features.

This new platform allows businesses and brands to build, launch and manage their own display advertising campaigns within only a few minutes. 

The very first major release for Adacado included Adacado’s very own media buying capability. This allows users to select and buy their own media directly from Adacado, instead of going through another DSP. Later on, Adacado released a Facebook media channel for users to serve their ads on Facebook’s social platform.

Then came many creative features including, but not limited to: stock image library, icon library, ability to edit/create multi view ads, animation widgets and a video widget. All of these creative updates came with the end goal of making creative more effective and efficient. 

More recently, Adacado released multi user functionality and campaign solutions giving users even more flexibility and convenience when building their ads. Multi user functionality allows users within a team to have access to a single account using their own emails. This lets team members collaborate on campaigns and share ideas. Campaign solutions are pre-built campaigns with creatives, data feeds, product targeting options, and media channel configurations. Ultimately, these are pre-defined campaigns, and are the fastest way to get your ads live. As well, you can create your own solutions from an already existing campaign.

Although Adacado has been in the same industry for many years, its business model and product have changed significantly to adapt to changing consumer needs and technological advances.
